| The Director and the seconded teachers
| The Director of the European School Munich, Rudolph Ensing (seconded from the Netherlands) was appointed in 2010 by the Board of Governors. He is assisted by two Deputy Directors: Fausta Pressacco (seconded from Italy in 2008) is in charge of the primary section (kindergarten/primary school) and André Studer (seconded from France in 2005) who is in charge of the secondary section. The nationality of directors and deputies is determined by the Board of Governors. Some full-time teachers are seconded by their national governments for a period of 9 years. Additional vacancies, which cannot be filled with seconded teachers, are filled with contracted teachers, who are employed directly through the Director. The total number of teaching staff comprises 200 teachers (January 2010). | |||||||

| The Education Committee The Education Committee is a council for internal school matters both for the primary section and the secondary section, consisting of representatives of parents, teachers and pupils. Each Education Committee assembles regularly with the objective to create favourable conditions for efficient tuition and to promote positive and stimulating interpersonal relations. |

Its other members are the Director of the School, the representative of the European Commission, two elected representatives of the teachers, two representatives of the Parents' Association and, at the European School Munich, the representative of the European Patent Office.
