The kindergarten, which accepts children from the age of four, aims to give all children the opportunity to develop their full potential. There is some interpretative, teacher-directed learning but it is also recognized that skilfully organised play-based learning is often the most successful approach in nursery education

The aim of kindergarten education, as the first stage in a child’s schooling, is to enable each individual to develop his or her full potential in terms of intellectual ability, at the same time, allowing his or her personality to develop. To reach this aim attention should be paid to the fact that each child develops at his or her own pace.

Kindergarten education should enable children to acquire the basic skills necessary for a successful school career. The four main areas of development involved are:

There are many activities that serve as methodical approaches: Role-play, board games with 2-4 other children, playing music with Orff instruments or self-made instruments, learning of songs and poems and free speech and retelling of stories.
